Description:Our BSc Childhood Studies has been declared the best in the UK in The Guardian's 2018 university league table. The course focuses on policy and the rights of children and young people from birth to 19 years, exploring contemporary debates within a global context. Teaching is research-based and benefits from the expertise of lecturers from related disciplines, including education, psychology, sociology, social work and law.

Years one and two are identical to the three-year BSc Childhood Studies course, during which you will build a solid understanding of social, psychological and historical constructions of childhood. Optional units will allow you to pursue different routes through the degree depending on your personal interests and potential career choices. In year three you will be able to study overseas at one of our partner institutions before returning to Bristol in year four to complete your final year.
